Testolone
RAD-140
What it is
Testolone (RAD-140) is the most "anabolic" SARM — nearly steroid-like in its muscle-building effects. Originally developed by Radius Health for breast cancer and androgen deficiency. The strongest of the well-known SARMs. Studied in Phase 1 trials for breast cancer.
How it works
High-affinity binding to androgen receptors with stronger anabolic effect than even Ligandrol. Some neuroprotective effects in animal models, originally explored for Alzheimer's. The aggressive anabolic action comes with proportionally aggressive suppression and lipid changes.
Benefits
- 15–20 lbs of lean mass over 8–12 weeks (advanced users)
- Significant strength gains
- Aggressive recovery improvements
- Some neuroprotective effects (animal data)
Timeline
- Week 1–2
- Strength gains; aggression/drive increase.
- Week 4–6
- Visible muscle gains.
- Week 8–12
- Peak gains; cycle off mandatory; strict PCT required.
Dosing & titration
Beginner dose5–10 mg orally daily
Standard dose10–20 mg orally daily
Cycle length6–8 weeks ON, then 6–10 weeks OFF (with strict PCT)
When to titrate upMost users see good results at 10 mg. Above 20 mg, side effects rise dramatically.
Side effects & risks
- Aggressive testosterone suppression
- Significant HDL reduction
- Liver enzyme elevation (more pronounced than other SARMs)
- Possible aggression/anxiety
- Nausea or appetite changes
- Hair loss in genetically susceptible individuals
- Cardiovascular markers shift unfavorably
Heavy hitter SARM — treat like a steroid. Get full blood panels before, mid-cycle, and post-PCT. Use liver support during cycle. Strong PCT required. Banned in sports.
Typical price
$70–$140/moFrom research suppliers. Quality essential — counterfeits are common.
