DSIP

Delta Sleep Inducing Peptide
researchnichesubQ injection / nasal

What it is

DSIP is a nine-amino-acid peptide first isolated in 1977 from rabbit blood. Named for its ability to promote delta-wave (deep) sleep. Decades of research have shown variable but real effects on sleep architecture, stress response, and mood.

How it works

Mechanism is not fully understood. Modulates the HPA axis (cortisol/stress response) and influences sleep architecture toward more delta-wave activity. Also has anti-stress effects independent of sleep.

Benefits

Timeline

Night 1–3
Sleep effects vary by user — some report immediate deeper sleep, others see no change.
Week 1–2
Cumulative effects on sleep architecture (when responsive).

Dosing & titration

Standard dose100–500 mcg subQ pre-bed
Cycle length2–4 weeks; not for daily long-term use
When to titrate upIf 100 mcg has no effect after a few nights, increase to 250 then 500 mcg. If still no effect, this peptide isn't for you.

Side effects & risks

Inconsistent reports. DSIP works dramatically for some users and not at all for others. Try a short cycle to test.

Typical price

$50–$100/mo5 mg vial from a 503A compounding pharmacy.
